With over 1,600 feet of walkway through the exhibit, you can wind and weave your way through an authentic rain forest full of over 15,000 plants of nearly 400 species, many of which have never before been grown in the New York area.
As you and your family explore this precious ecosystem, keep your eyes peeled for the group of black and white colobus monkeys, the elusive okapi (the “rain forest giraffe”), a rambunctious family of Red River warthogs and many other animals and species that slither, hop and crawl along the forest floor.
And most of all, you will learn about the threats to the African rain forests and what you can do to save these precious ecosystems.
